The real story .

You forgot the mention that the Jew was framed for the murder due to anti semitism and that's why the ADL was formed

he Case of Leo Frank

  • The Murder: In April 1913, 13-year-old Mary Phagan was murdered in an Atlanta pencil factory.

  • The Arrest: Leo Frank, the Jewish factory manager, was arrested.

  • The Trial: The trial featured intense public hostility and widespread antisemitism, with crowds outside shouting threats against Frank.

  • The Verdict: The court convicted Frank based largely on changing testimony from Jim Conley, the factory janitor. Historians and later reviews showed the trial was deeply unfair and driven by prejudice.

The Founding of the ADL

  • The Response: Deeply concerned by the rising wave of antisemitism surrounding the trial, Sigmund Livingston founded the Anti-Defamation League in September 1913.

  • The Mission: The organization was created to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment for all citizens. [

    ]

Later Events

  • The Commutation: In 1915, Georgia Governor John Slaton reviewed the case and changed Frank's death sentence to life in prison because the evidence showed serious doubts about his guilt. [

    ,

    ]

  • The Lynching: An angry mob broke into the prison later that year and lynched Frank in Marietta, Georgia. [

    ,

    ]

  • The Pardon: In 1986, the State of Georgia granted Frank a posthumous pardon, recognizing the state's failure to protect him or provide a fair tria

It's the same point you make on every thread mentioning j's or israel.

Zero nuance just attack attack attack!

IMHO the only thing that binds jews is 'grievance culture'
and an appeal for special treatment.

It's not an ethnicity since women can marry in and convert, it's not a religion since most don't believe
but they sure as hell stick together - even when fellow Jews do something terrible.

ie. Here's the story of how the ADL was formed:

  • Mary Phagan, 13, was found dead in the basement of the National Pencil Company in Atlanta in April 1913. She had gone there to collect her wages. There was evidence suggesting rape too.

  • Leo Frank, the Jewish superintendent of the factory, was arrested and ultimately prosecuted for her murder.

  • Frank tried to blame Jim Conley, a Black factory sweeper/custodian a court found that Frank had killed Phagan and had ordered Conley to help move her body and write misleading notes. Conley became the prosecution's key witness.

  • Frank was convicted in August 1913 and sentenced to death.

  • Georgia Governor John Slaton commuted Frank's death sentence to life imprisonment.

  • In August 1915, a group of armed men kidnapped Frank from prison, took him to Marietta, and lynched him.

The ADL were formed to defend this POS.
SEEMS 99.9% ONLY have loyalty to each other and their cause.

Anything is possible but it would have to be a conspiracy theory to suggest it was made up.

I think it was said.

I think it matters who said it and what authority that person had.

In any case there is no doubt by anyone that all land in Thailand is under Thai law.

Re-writing history for the ADL

I don't think that you can understand the situation .

An innocent Jewish man was framed for crime he didn't commit

The ADL were formed to stop innocent Jews from being scapegoats for crimes they didn't commit in the future

The person who reported this was the Deputy Interior Minister - Phonphir Suwannachawi. You would need to ask him who actually said it.

6 minutes ago, Jingthing said:

I would like to know the facts about who he spoke to.

You aren't interested in facts.

That says it all.

So you mean the Sam Cooke I pictured?

Never heard his stuff actually,.

The only name that was mention in the article was the Deputy Interior Minister Polapee Suwannachet, he immediately rejected the remark, saying,"Thailand’s laws apply equally to everyone in the country" and “This is Thailand. Everyone on Thai soil must comply with Thai law. No one has the right to claim sovereignty over Thailand.”

https://thethaiger.com/news/phuket/chabad-house-phuket-inspection-israeli-territory-claim

Yes, there was only 1 Sam Cooke, commonly referred to as the "King of Soul" for his distinctive vocals, look up his best selling hits and you might get the joke.

So he was he?

I don't know and neither do you.

Difference is I am using common sense, you're refusing to acknowledge the obvious.

If you're ever in Atlanta the Jewish museum of Atlanta covers the tragic lynching of Frank very well.

It also didn’t help that he was a Yankee.

More and more it sounds as if it might have just have been a random "Jewish" man with no authority. Random Jewx say lots of dumb things.

You can see the influence of the media. Also Israel employs a lot of Thais and this may now change.

We can only hope it does change .

Some estimates put the number of Thai workers in Israel at around 60,000.

What mind-boggling idiocy would cause a government to encourage workers to work in a war zone?

Not to mention the fact that Israel is an international pariah with a documented history of genocide and war crimes .

Its just Palestinians that have targeted and killed Thais in Israel .

IDF have killed most of those Palestinian attackers .

So, quite safe now in Israel

The danger to Thai workers in Israel is just beginning.

Better that they are encouraged to return home now before the situation gets any worse, as it surely will.

No point in telling me .

Contact the Thai workers in Israel and tell them to go back to Thailand as its dangerous

Depends who said it .

If it was just some random person, certainly the Israeli embassy isn't responsible for speech of all their nationals and do we even know he was Israeli?

No, we don't. This is a photo that Thai media sources use to portray the confrontation with Deputy Interior Minister Phonphir Suwannachawi (also spelled Polapee Suwunchwee), but they don't say it directly. I have blurred his face in case he has nothing to do with the infamous "territory" utterance. If you want an unblurred version, it's easy to find through Google.

Screenshot 2026-09-16 12.31.33 AM (1).jpg

None of the reports give any indication of who he is, although most say he is Jewish (NOT Israeli but Jewish). Some just call him "a foreigner."

Remember, this incident took place on July 22, almost two months ago. It's being whipped up again long after the fact.

There are also conflicting reports as to where the photo was taken. Most say it was inside the Chabad House. One said it was at a wellness center and another called it a "business entity."

What's absolutely clear is the guy in the photo is NOT an official with Chabad Patong as he is not wearing the traditional men's clothing of an ultra Orthodox Jew. He is not even wearing a kippah (skullcap). There's no outward indication he's Jewish, much less Israeli.

We also don't know what language was being spoken. Was it English or Thai? Did the Deputy Minister have an interpreter with him who translated back and forth?

And how did the confrontation start? The foreign guy has to be the dumbest farang in Thailand to challenge a Deputy Minister and his entourage with a utterly idiotic comment like, "Don't you know this is Israeli territory?" 👎 ☹️ That has to be the worst possible thing to say under the circumstances.

I have a feeling more is involved than the abbreviated Thai press reports tell. Why are there no photos of the Chabad House's Rabbi speaking with the Deputy Minister? And why hasn't the Rabbi commented about the whole thing?

I can't find any reasonable answers to these questions.
