Jews dont go around attacking Muslims or Muslim places .

Muslims attack Jews and Jewish places .

Thats why Jewish places need security

The exception being Israeli ultra Zionist and settler Jews, going around and attacking, and killing Palestinians and causing much mayhem.

Sounds like the "Little Arabia" opposite and beyond the Marine Bar on the south end of Pattaya's Walking Street, way back when I was a reprobate. I believe "Little India" has conquered the area now?

There's also the middle eastern enclave on the north side of the arse-end of Sukhumvit, around Soi 3 and the Grace Hotel. Not sure if the "souk" is as vibrant as it used to be though.

Today, I read that the Israeli "influence" on Samui is significant whereas it wasn't on the radar before. Pretty sure it's what passes for mainstream media here just fanning a guttering flame. Oh, and Sondhi flapping his yap as well.

That information is correct, the Israelis have become very influential on both Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. They are in direct competition with a lot of Thai owned businesses there, part of the reason why they're being investigated.

We are talking about places outside the war zone .

Around the World , neutral areas .

Yes, obviously Jews and Muslim are attacking each other in Israel , its a war one

No, I consider Israel a Apartheid Pariah State, because that is what they are.

Why do you make this claim?

Israel’s Arab citizens—roughly one-fifth of Israel’s population—are citizens with voting rights and representation in the Knesset. That makes the comparison with South Africa’s apartheid system imperfect if we’re talking about Israel proper.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. So Thailand should forthwith suspend regular visa issuance to Israelis, except for special exceptions to be judged from a comprehensive application process to the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv.

Yes, there are Chinese and Russians and Indians violating laws of the land here. But there is only one state in the world where it is a national art form to seize, occupy and settle illegally, and protestations thereof are met with vehement cries of victimhood. Thailand is already finding this out the hard way. Heck, you can see a sample of the pearl-clutching outrage right here in AN.

Economic consequences? Not particularly significant:

YTD visitors here by nationality. Source:

China 3,000,000+

Malaysia 2,300,000+

India 1,300,000+

Russia 1,000,000+

...

Israel 220.000+

Screams of discrimination? F it and point south: Israelis can't get visas to Malaysia. Thailand will be in good company.

Why do you make this claim?

Because Gaza. Gazans live under Israeli rule but cannot vote in Israeli elections. Ergo, they are lesser people in Israel . Ergo, apartheid.

Added: "cannot vote" is putting it mildly. They are being ethnically cleansed. So, a barbarous apartheid.

So, rather than Israelis leaving Palestine, You would prefer it if Isrealis stayed and lived in Palestine ?

You want Jews to go back and occupy Palestine ?

Jews in Israel - specifically, non-Arabic (non-indigenous) Jews - should preferably leave the ME entirely. They don't belong there.

But that's not going to happen. So, next best, live peaceably and equally with indigenous Arabs. And let Palestine be a self-governing state. You've already taken thousand of square miles of what's not yours. Quit while you're ahead or you might end up the ones pushed out.

Surely you must know by now what my reply would have been ?

Anyway

Lets get back on topic .

South Africa's Apartheid system is only one manifestation of Apartheid there are others, you need to have a look at the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

Yes, Israel Palestinian Arabs have voting rights, etc, there are Palestinian Arab, Judges, Police and Doctors, etc, but it is all based on nationality not your citizenship. Palestinian Arab Israeli citizen and a Jewish Israeli citizen, while both citizens, enjoy different rights and privileges determined by their nationality. Seeing how Israel is an ethnocracy it is not a mystery who this system privileges and who it discriminates against.

What about the 7 million Jewish Israelis with a middle East heritage , from Iran, Morocco , Iraq, Yemen and Syria .

Where should they go to ?

Getting back to the topic, Israeli's need to clean their act up when visiting Thailand, no one can argue they haven't had a lot of bad press lately, Thai's in my opinion do not distinguish between Israeli's and Jews, they also don't recognise antisemitism, the IHRA definition is not adopted by the Thai Government, and there are no laws against it, rightly or wrongly.

The "Jews out" signs have without doubt wound up the Jews and the Israeli's, but screaming blue murder isn't going to change anything, it is up to the Thai's to sort this out, there are "Grey areas" which will be investigated by the powers that be, and until that is done I think everyone concerned should keep their heads down.

It doesn't matter how Israelis behave , those anti Isrealis in the media will always find something to report on .

How about you all go and find another topic to take an interest in, instead of focusing on Israelis and Jews all the time ?

You know what they say about love and war? All is fair.

Like it or not, I'm anti-Israeli, as you well know, not anti-Jew, although you and others on here try to paint a different picture, as Thai's say, up to you, so I'm more than willing to sit back on this one and grab me popcorn, this could get interesting.

Nick, I was trying to pour oil on troubled waters in the post you've commented on, I was more than willing as I said to sit this thread out, but if you insist on carrying on, so be it.

Do you really want to go down this road?

Tell that to the Palestinian families who've lived for centuries on the West Bank.

Not to mention that there has been about 50 new Churches opening in Phuket in the last 20 odd years .

Got ptoof of that? Aside from some tourists, the only Christians in Thailand are Chinese-Thais - and they are a tiny minority - particularly in Phuket. Besides, the Thai authorities are pretty hostile to some sects of Christianity (they think the churches want to 'convert' Thais).

Thailand's current drama over proxy land ownership is self-inflicted and has been going on for decades. The authorities has been more than happy to turn a blind eye to the fraud being propagated by Thai property developers and the Thai legal sector.

Now, with full OECD membership on the horizon, and the need to have one's house in order, including eliminating graft and adhering to a higher international legal standard, the irregular or otherwise illegal property sector is getting the third degree.

The only reason Israeli involvement is front and center right now is because they are the low-hanging fruit here. It's a sideshow.

I think it's safe to say with Israel's current radical and extremist behavior, that they will not exist as a state for very much longer into the future. 20 years, 50 years?

Many of us will not lament that fact on any level. The Middle East would be infinitely more peaceful without Israel.

Suddenly in the last 90 days, there are thousands of Thai that had their own personal bad experience with Israelis.

A dogpile of Thai and also expats, that pile on with trash talking about Iraelis and no prior personal bad experience.

'suddenly'?

since the end of the 80-s i come to Tland as a tourist, later living here with full pleasure!

but already in my very first trip i saw in K.Samui, K.Phangan & K.Tao signs in front of resorts saying: "no Israël" without any explanation...

i was shocked why someone could exclude people of a whole country, wow! this was end '88, so that is 38 years ago already, definitely nót 'suddenly'!

but later over the years i learned why these signs were put up.

still i don't like to generalize, one must suffer from actions by someone else... but some things just have to be said.

They build in places where there enough Jews to justify it. Generally their focus is Israeli Jews. Hardly all over tbe world. Israeli Jews are about .1 percent of global population and they don't proselytize. Not the big octopus like threat that you seem to portray

No, it's the other way around, these Chabad houses are built by individuals, who have reached out to Chabad for support. If Chabad likes the project, they will then support it, which means they will then spread the word in Israel that people can go to that Chabad house. They don't build Chabad houses where there are jews, but rather it's the other way around, they build the Chabad house and then recruit the jews to visit there. This is what we saw in Pai. It's northern Thailand, there were no jews there. It was the Chabad house that created the influx of jews in Pai.

And there are Chabad houses all over the freakin' world, if ever there was an octopus spreading its tentacles across the globe, Chabad is it.
