First and foremost- it's a total myth Jews and Muslims lived in harmony in Palestine and the rest of the Middle East before the Zionist movement began in the 1880s. in fact, Jews have been oppressed by Muslims since the earliest years of Islam. It's always been the goal of Palestinians and others to drive out the Jews. It's just that there were no Palestinians prior to the British Mandate.

I'll begin with the recent stuff. In 2017, Hamas issued a document which stated: "Hamas rejects any alternative to the full and complete liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea." 

Hamas couldn't get much clearer than that. It also said:

"There shall be no recognition of the legitimacy of the Zionist entity. Whatever has befallen the land of Palestine in terms of occupation, settlement building, Judaization or changes to its features or falsification of facts is illegitimate. Rights never lapse.

 "Hamas believes that no part of the land of Palestine shall be compromised or conceded, irrespective of the causes, the circumstances and the pressures and no matter how long the occupation lasts.

The original charter of Hamas had stated: “There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Hezbollah is equally adamant about the destruction of Israel ("this entity"):

"Therefore our struggle will end only when this entity is obliterated. We recognize no treaty with it, no cease fire, and no peace agreements, whether separate or consolidated. We vigorously condemn all plans for negotiation with Israel, and regard all negotiators as enemies, for the reason that such negotiation is nothing but the recognition of the legitimacy of the Zionist occupation of Palestine."

Hamas officials can get quite blood-thirsty in their rhetoric, Hamad Al-Regeb in an April 2023 sermon prayed for “annihilation” and “paralysis” of the Jews whom he described as filthy animals: “[Allah] transformed them into filthy, ugly animals like apes and pigs because of the injustice and evil they had brought about.” Al-Regeb also prayed for the ability to “get to the necks of the Jews.”  https://www.adl.org/resources/article/hamas-its-own-words

No doubt Palestinians from the tip leaders on down are dedicated to the destruction of Israel and its Jewish citizens,

do you even have a clue about who Hamas is and how they came to power? seems you cant separate Hamas terrorist from Palestinian people can you? Now go back and add the action of Israel for the last 60 years as well as what the IDF have done recently coupled with what Israel residents have done to drive every day Palestinians from their establish home and settlements. Add in that the Israeli govt knew about the planned attack and intentionally let it happen as a basis for their actions. Then you can have a discussion.

Yes, I know very well who (and what) Hamas is and how they came to power. I can separate between Hamas terrorists and Palestinian civilians, but I also know Hamas' terrorist activity has a lot of support among the Palestinian people. Hamas beat Fatah in the 2006 Palestinian elections; that's both how Hamas came into power and a measure of its support and approval among the people.

No, then you can have a conspiracy theory. The post of yours that I originally answered asked for "some facts" about Palestinians wanting to destroy Israel and kill Jews.

Facts are what I gave you, but you now want to stir in 60 years of background and the failure of Israel to anticipate the 10/7 attacks. That goes way beyond the scope of the point I was addressing,
