Jomtien Road Construction

Featured Replies

I was really happy when they started widening the road from Jomtien into Pattaya. It was progressing pretty nicely, but it appears that all construction has stopped. Does any body know why?

Also, after you go under the over-pass coming from Jomtien up to South Pattaya Road there should be a no parking zone. There is a constant perpetual traffic jam in this area and the police allow anything and everything to park in the street backing up traffic for 15 to 30 minutes.

I wonder if anybody knows how to make a suggestion to the city government? Do you think it would help at all?

This is one of the main entrances into the city and is constantly blocked by cars, trucks, taxies, buses and motorbikes parked in the street. For the life of me I can not understand why somebody in the government or the police department has not made a minimal effort to solve this issue.

Maybe one of our civic minded individuals who read this site could help. I even bet there are some volunteer policeman that read and post here that could make the suggestion.

:o Thanks for the laugh, Bill. "make a suggestion to the city government"? :D

:D And "there should be a no parking zone"? :D

:D "I can not understand why somebody in the government or the police department has not made a minimal effort to solve this issue."? :bah:

Stop it, Bill, you're killin' me! Why not ask if somebody could suggest that the police do something about the infants carried, untethered, with no helmets, on motorbikes? For that matter, why not ask if somebody could suggest the enforcement of just ONE traffic law, including the requirements for all motorbike drivers to be licensed, and wearing helmets?

Good grief, Bill. There are horrific traffic violations at every turn in this city. There is absolutely no intention by the police to do anything other than pick up the pieces AFTER accidents occur. Anarchy rules on the roads of Pattaya.
