Yamaha Mio

Featured Replies

Trying to get the user guide for Yamaha Mio in English. Having no luck whatsoever, any ideas anyone.

I dont need technical stuff - just the basics - where/what oil tyre pressures etc

Can't help you on this one, was hoping someone else would. Tyre pressures should be 2 bar (29psi) in the front, 2.2 bar (33psi) in the rear. I just use 20W-40 engine oil and change every 1500-2000km. A small gauze oil filter I clean with carb cleaner. Replace the drive oil at the same time with a sachet of gear oil available from Yamaha, use it all. Clean the air filter (in front of the rear wheel, plastic cover held on by four 8mm screws) with an air line. There is a drive air filter on top of the rear drive with the cover held on again by four 8mm screws. On the new Mio you need to remove a larger plastic cover. This is a foam filter which I prefer to just wash in water. Change the spark plug every 10,000km.

Hope this helps, ask if there's anything else you need help with

Oh yeah, fill the oil so with the bike standing vertical on its wheels the oil reaches the filler threads
