Dvd Drive Vanishes?

Featured Replies

Greetings all, I need to pick the brains of you computer techies. Ive been downloading some classic old ww2 films via torrent sites and have had no problems. Now its OK to watch them on the computer when Im travelling but I want to watch them on my big screen TV. When I try to burn them onto DVD it gets half way through then my DVD drive disappears from my computer and so the burn fails. The only way I can get the drive back is to re start the computer. Im running windows Vista ultimate and burning using Nero 7 ultimate. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated, Cheers guys Dunc :o

Try to use a ISO creator to build to first an ISO image and than burn the Image! Or use a program like Virtual CD to create a virtual image to first and burn it later.

Any6way I would to first buse some RW (CD or DVD) Media to first for testing!

May you burned the drive instead of the media?! If you've Warranty on the drive I would suggest to send it back to the supplier!
