Sink hole discovered in Trang

Trang provincial officials revealed that a sink hole measuring 6 meters in diameter and 7 meters deep has been found in tambon Nhong Chang (หนอง ช้าง) in Huai Yod district (ห้วย ยอด).

Deputy Governor of Trang Surapon Vichaidit (สุรพล วิชัยดิษฐ) accompanied by Civil protection and aid worker San Chantarawong (สันติ์ จันทรวงศ์) lead officials to inspect the area of the sink hole. The opening was almost full of water and officials theorized that it was caused by 3-4 days worth of heavy rains.

Mr. Surapon ordered officials to collaborate with the Department of Mineral Resources in investigating the actual cause of the sink hole while announcing the area a danger zone. He warned that the area surrounding the hole may give way.
