this was my favourite watering hole when i was living in bkk

now i m in jakarta and out of touch. talking to a mate last night and he told me the manager has moved on

anyone know if he is managing another bar??? i ll be back there soon and would like to touch base with him, sad old derby fan he is

I was in there on Saturday night to see us thrash the Aussies at rugby but must admit not seeing him, but then again there was a few bodies in there.

Was his name Peter with the silver hair?

If so I saw him across the road in Hanrahans a couple of weeks ago but I don't think he was working there.

Yep, he has silver hair but not sure about the name.

Perhaps he was eyeing up the competition, no problem there then, that Hanrahans is sooooo expensive

Peter has left chequers and is working in Suk 33 can,t remember off hand but will find out and post I was told he left because Woody is selly it and got himself another job has soon as agood one came up he,s been here along time and knows the ropes well.

I know Peter well and Chequers has been my 'local' for the last 2 years. Peter is now managing Mojo's on Soi 33 (opposite the Office bar and owned by the same guy) and really enjoying it... well what man wouldn't with coyote girls most nights, great live music, sports and good grub? We're often there on a Sunday afternoon to catch up with Peter. Woody is supposedly selling Chequers but no developments that I know of as yet.

Well I hope itimproves on the first & only time I've been in there. I got turfed out by some snotty bar manager saying it was a private party on a Sunday & for women only, but good luck to Pete on this one. I'll definately go & try again then.

We'll be watching the Rugby final in Mojo's tomorrow night. Saw the last 2 England matches there and it's a really great atmosphere... come on the Lions, let's make it 2 in a row!!!
