Shengen To France

Here is an interesting one.A guy lives in the UK but works in France he wants his Thai partner to visit him in France not the UK.

I would have thought he may have to get a UK visa first for her as he is not a French national.

She is the one who must apply for a visa and if she wants to go to France then it is to the French embassy that she must apply. It doesn't matter what her boyfriends nationality is.

Looks complicated to me surely he will have to prove he lives and works in France etc.

If he is to sponsor her application, yes but she may have the means to independently apply for a visa without a sponsor.

Are they married? If so, she could apply for a free visa for France. If they're boyfriend and girlfriend, then she should apply for a visa at the French embassy in Bangkok. If she has no intention of visiting the UK, then she need not apply for a UK visa. That he is not French will have no bearing on the outcome of the application.

Scouse.
