Obtaining A New Thai Passport For A Thai

Featured Replies

my friend is trying to get a visa for her thai boyfriend to go home with her to the UK for christmas, but first he needs a passport. i am pretty sure she needs to take him to bangkok to get this, can someone verify where she needs to go, what kinds of docs/payments she needs to take, and how long she has to stay in bangkok before they can pick up the passport? thanks for any advice.

She doesn't need to take him anywhere if he is over 15 years old he can go alone and if he over 20 he doesn't even need his parents permission. He must go in person to any of the passport offices in the link above.

If he wants to collect it in person it will take 3 days, however for a small fee he can have it returned to his home address by courier and it will take about a week.
