vivachocobo
How soon can a foreigner with a settlement visa open a bank account? Is it possible to open as soon as arriving in the UK? And if I already got a job offer, what do I need to open an account? Thank you in advance. Srisuda Edited October 19, 2007 by vivachocobo

There isn't many companies in the Uk who dont pay salaries by Bank transfer so it would be a requirement for you to have an account to be paid. You should be able to check this out by contacting any British Bank
the scouser
You will need your passport and evidence of your address. As soon as you arrive, get your name put on one of the utility bills and use this as such evidence. Scouse.
