mermot Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 With the help of this forum my gf has previously had two visitor visas granted to allow her to visit me in the UK. This time she will be applying as my fiancee in order to get married here. There are are number of questions on the VAF2 form that are new to me. I would appreciate some advice on how to answer the following: 3.2 Have you ever been engaged to be married ...? I am the first person to whom my fiancee has ever been engaged to. Should she answer YES? 3.10 Other Family Members She will list member of her immediate family but what is the purpose of this question? 5.11 Have you lived with your sponsor in a relationship like a marriage...? My gf resided in my house during her two visits to the UK. Should she answer YES and give the length of time? 6.14 Do you intend to work in the UK? She would like to get a part-time job but I know she can't do this until the FLR is granted after the wedding. Should she therefore answer YES? Many thanks Mermot
the scouser Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 3.2 Have you ever been engaged to be married ...? I am the first person to whom my fiancee has ever been engaged to. Should she answer YES? The question is vague, but answer yes and provide your details and the relevant dates etc. 3.10 Other Family Members She will list member of her immediate family but what is the purpose of this question? They run their details through the box of tricks in order to see if any are known to the UK authorities. 5.11 Have you lived with your sponsor in a relationship like a marriage...? My gf resided in my house during her two visits to the UK. Should she answer YES and give the length of time? Yes. 6.14 Do you intend to work in the UK? She would like to get a part-time job but I know she can't do this until the FLR is granted after the wedding. Should she therefore answer YES? At this point in time she has no intention to work, so tick no. Scouse.
