Hi

I am a British expat living in Thailand.

I am going to apply for a visa to visit Angola for work purposes.

Apparently they need a "Police Clearance Certificate" from the country you are residing in, ie thailand for me.

Does anyone know how to go about getting this certificate.

ie, which goverment department at which building etc.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi Chris,

i have made afew police clearance reports in Thailand for my work.

You need to go to the Royal Thai Police head quarters in Bangkok, not sure of the address but it is near Rama 1. Taxi driver will know where it is.

You only need to take your passport with you, copy the details page and your T M card. When you get there go to building 24.

The desk will give you a form to fill in, when you fill in the form they will finger print you and then take your photo, they say to come back in 10 days to collect the report. You can also ask them to post it to you. The report is free but you pay 40 baht if you want it delivered by post.

If you do a search on the visa forum for police clearance report someone posted the address there.

Good luck
