Reason For 1 Month Extension?

Featured Replies

okay :o

i'm currently on a 3 month (2 month + extension) tourist visa while getting all the things together for my non-IMM B visa. now, on the 27th i need to apply for an extension for my tourist visa (1 month) and i got a stupid question ...the last two times i applied for an extension (7days + 1 month each) for previous visas i just used the reason "to extend my vacation, blah blah" as the "reason" on their forms at the immigration office. will it look dumb if i put the same thing on this extension as well? i mean, doing vacation for 5 months may sound a little silly to them. of course, i'm not really on vacation, but preparing things for my non-IMM B, but its really the appropriate visa for it since i'm not working here. so...question...what should i put on the form? is there a chance i get the extension denied if i put a vacation reason on it 3 times? :D

As you are on a tourist visa, "extending my holiday" is a reasonable reason.

However I am not sure they will grant you more than ONE such extension.

You may have to do a visa run to Penang for a new tourist visa, or an out/in to get another 30 days.

Yeah, i understand, that's clear. I never even tried to get more than 1 extension. When the extension was over, i went out to get a new visa which was always granted, too (twice). Thanks :o
