Great post.

Salary? Location? Age of students? WP supplied etc?

A bit more info would get a better response.

I have been pondering this for a long long time. What makes somebody a "native English" teacher?

I have friends in Glasgow that can barely make themselves understood in London.

I have been working for a while in Ghana, and I have a hard time translating their native English to understandable English.

I will not suggest that my English is perfect, far from it, but exactly what are the rules here? And - yes - Ghana has English as an official and thus "native" language.

There is already a thread (somewhere) for the purpose of posting wanted ads- I will attempt to locate it and merge the initial post in this thread there.

Otherwise, the opening topic is not allowed for independent threads (there are one or two others active now which I will locate and close soon), and there are plenty of threads about what constitutes a native speaker- find one of those and add your reply; this doesn't need to become another one.
