I just tried to get a multiple entry one year "O" visa from the Thai embassy in Edmonton Alberta. This visa is no longer available there. They told me that this visa is no longer issued in Canada. I have a marriage certificate, the proper bank documents, but still not able to obtain this visa in Canada. The best I could do was a three month single entry "O" visa.

Yes, the same story for me. I went last week to ask the same question at the Royal Thai embassy in Ottawa, The lady behind the desk told me that they do not issue multiple entries non O ( married to a Thai national). The best I could get was a single or possibly a double entry visa. So I guess the best bet would be to go to Pennang.
