Most places were closed on saturday , including pool halls . On sunday a most places were opened but no beer being servred . Beer can be served after midnight on sunday . but places are fairly quiet ...

sad situation .. i wonder how the bar owners can tolerate this closedown situation on elections and religious holidays , it must be bad for takings over the year .

Cant see why farang dives have to close as they dont cater for thais in a big way

thats a daft statement.

how can a farang dive as you say be open when a thai palace has to close, in thailand? :o

why don't they cater for thai's?

There is the old, not so bright saying, 'I don't have a right to vote, so I can get my beer'.

If you make a business plan, just consider a couple of days a year with no income, should be so easy and then not have any more effect on your plannings.
