What is a File-o-fax???

It went the way of the dinosaurs. No, wait, that was the Rolodex. The File-o-fax went with the dodo bird.

I lost a file-o-fax once

Man was I worried

Not about losing it - that was a blow

My worry was someone finding and reading it.

Mike's Shopping Mall has a good section of men's goods - if not on the ground floor which has gone more souvineer tourist goods try upstairs men's section / leather goods

I doubt they sell the originals in Mike!

Yeah I saw them too in some BKK shopping centers. 3,000 Bht actually is not such a bad price. However one must assure to get the yearly renewals as well.

I was also addicted in the Filofax many years, but at the end, the Blackberry replaced it...like it or not.

As for most things, this is a personal preference, and it is hard to agree on one solution.

I use fILOFAX myself, but that doesn't make me a better person (disappointing but true). But I find that a combination of paper based and electronic is best for me. Your milage may differ...

I get my yearly refill at the Emporium at 999 Baht. Quite steep, and I would suggest to ask some kind fried in Europe to mail you a more generic (non-brandname) pack for a lot less. In Thailand it seems to be difficult to get a pack that is anywhere near the real stuff.

not in the mrket for a File-o-fac (got a laptop....) but a decent looking leather map that can hold an A5 or even A4 notepad is something I couldn't find in ten years! Only those cheapo artificial leather ones that still cost 1,000 Baht and fall apart 3 seconds after purchase.

I visit customers with those 7/11 notebooks, and also here it is hard to get some without cute doggies on the front cover...

Raro,

Try the men's department at Central Chidlom. I got what I think you are after there.

It is black leather, with a zip, space for an A4 pad on the right, and small pockets for cards and stuff on the left. Mine was called "Jacob" for some strange reason, but I shall not hold that against the little bugger. What is in a name anyway?

Good luck!

Raro and Hssl

Try the stationary dept up stairs at Friendship, I think I saw both requests yesterday, otherwise Silpaban the stationary shop just up from Foodland on Pattaya Klang. Great range of art supplies and stationary.

ditto!

I got my last one in WH Smiths. If that's any help.

not unless you tell us where that is... :o

WH Smiths used to be a chain of high street bookstores/stationery shops in my time in the UK, and probably still are, good shops they were for sure. I have not seen any branches in Pong, or for that matter in Thailand. So a good try, but not that helpful unless one is in the UK.

I couldnt find a refill for my filofax this time last year so this year I had a friend bring one out when they were on holiday! Some of us dont need the expence of a blackberry etc for a few simple reminders hence my filofax still suits me.
