It's a retorical question because I know that the new airport has no domestic terminal. For incoming domestic flights from Phuket, the plane parks at an airbridge and then all passengers have to go onto a bus for the trip to the domestic arrivals entrance.

This has happened to me every time I arrive from Phuket....

Did no-one in the planning office think to include direct-access to the domestic arrivals hall for incoming domestic flights??

it does have a domestic terminal in the same building as the international arrivals.

the second terminal, for the budget airlines, to be started in spring 2008 - most of those passengers will be domestic

Yes, if the plane were then continuing onto an international destination - then I could understand this situation. But every time I have flown on a domestic flight to BKK, where the plane terminates at BKK, then I've encountered this crazy situation where we use the air-bridge but then have to walk down the outside staircase and onto the buses.

All I can think is that the actual plane itself is going to be used on it's next flight for an international flight... Very annoying though.

And will be opened sometime in 2048 if history is anything to go by. :o:D :D

"<deleted> happens".

Passengers are often easier to move than an aircraft.
