This fog was so heavy you could not see the large circular building in the foreground early in the morning, hour or so later and the city revealed itself.

A pity about the flare in the top right.

Could you have avoided that by taking the shot earlier, or possibly later?

The flare is the sun and if taken earlier it was still ther, but lesser of the city and obviously later then the fog would have lifted.

So I don't know how to avoid that flare.
