Preparing For A Tamboon

My wife's family lives in Ayuthaya. Today they were preparing a lot of food for a tamboon.

Looks familiar. Except my MIL has graduated from sitting on the floor to actually using her counter (3 years after the kitchen remodel). Took her years to stop using her charcoal stove and start using the gas one

I know....even after we built them a new house my wife's mother still prefers a 'hard' surface on which to sleep. Though she does like the microwave and the A/C for convenience and comfort.
