Hi,

I'm traveling on feb,19 from Chiang Mai to Phuket with Airasia.

I have allready booked my flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok which should arrive in BKK at 09:30.

I would like to book the flight BKK-Phuket which departs at 13:10, on the same airport.

Is the time between these flights enough or could this give problems (delays,...)?

I would not have thought this a problem providing the incoming flight is on time. You should be able check through the luggage the whole way. I usually allow myself a couple of hours between flights, so your 3 and a half should not be a problem.

not sure you can check baggage through as air asia is a point to point airline

you should ask about this, but i think 3 and 1/2 hours for transfer from domestic to domestic flight would be ok

You cannot check your luggage through. You have to collect your luggage and check in for each segment. But you have more than enough time, I'd say.

Tnx for the replies.

Yes, I need to collect my luggage and check in again, because it's a point-to-point airline.

I'll book the flight then.

you should have no problems, and it was wise to leave so much time between the flights.

but usually the morning flights are more on time anyway than those in the evening, as their 25 minutes turnaround-time is extremely tight. once that specific plane experienced any delay, they wont be able to get rid of it until the night. by the way, in most of the cases the reason for delays are the PASSENGERS themselves (f.e.: not showing up at the gate at the announced time, behaving stupidly when boarding and stowing luggage, blocking other passengers from getting to their seat and so on.....
