General Hindrances In Thailand

Featured Replies

What about motorbikes on the footpath? Today on my way to work in the space of 25 minutes. 6 motorbikes came from behind me or towards me. Its not so bad when you can see them coming but it gives you the shits when you dont hear them coming from behind. Dont they know how to use the road?

Me too but it's NOT against the law right!!!

Sitting in a bar for at least an hour and being asked to move accross the room cos the chair next to me is free and there are two Thai people that want to sit at the bar :o

Getting into my Toyota pick-up and forgetting to duck, so my head hits the top of the door frame because Toyota build them for <deleted>.cking midgets.

Perhaps a taste of what women must go through day after day after day after day?

Agreed. Especially if they are wearing a tight university outfit.

I love 'em in thier uniforms, I won't deny it!!!

And so do many of you...

It's a bit annoying when during the cool season;

1. I still get ice in my drinks.

2. Overnight tour buses still have the air-con set at sub zero.

3. Having a gf want an aircon hotel room only to sleep smothered in blankets to keep warm.

:o

Oh! and also people who change their avatars more often than I change my socks. :D:D:D

that's not a genuine hindrance I find..

But Thai movies on DVD that arrogantly have NO english subtitles pisses me off.

:o Maybe you should change your socks more often? :D

I 'm wondering when the day will come when we see the headline in The Nation / Bkk Post "Farang on assault charge after Panthip Plaza plaza fracas"

Many people here it appears.

Do you think you could get a higher grade of uni girl Pat, if you owned a car? Or do you think girls are more down to earth nowadays and don't mind the 'green and yellow limo'?

:o

(just playing, Pat... why do you insist on abusing the visa runners?)

^probably for the same reason that you don't seem to be capable of addressing a post to another poster without speculating/inquiring what mode of transportation they use, I imagine.

What about a few more general hindrances?

The itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny, miniscule servings of coffee in most shops...... :o

SO difficult to find a man's size cup of coffee....

Probably the same reason as what, Steve? Thinking out loud again eh?

:D:D

Heng is a hi-so snob I've heard.

Nonsense, I can hang with just about anyone, you included, Patrick. We could even bring Steven along to help us pull some hags.

I may hold you to that Heng. Watch it.

But I doubt hags is what Steven'll be lookin at.

Thai sandwiches can be a major hindrance when you unwrap them and discover a teaspoon full of filling between the slices of ultra soft bread.
