Custom Shocks For Mio

Featured Replies

I just replaced the stock rear shock on my 2 year old Mio, with a up model version sold by Yamaha. I am amazed at the imporvement in stability and tracking accuracy of the bike. Previously, it always had a bit of wobble & side-sway. I think the stock version is made for 100 lb Thais perhaps. I am a bit over that at 85 kgs. Any comments? What about replacing the front shocks?

I was thinking of replacing the rear shock on wifeys Mio for the same reason, thanks for the tip.

As for the front forks I am sure Valentino Rossi's works setup will bolt straight on with only a slight reworking of the front mudguard.

Suprisingly, not much interest in this. I think the stock shocks for Mio are inadequate for anyone except bantam weights.
