Phnom Penh For Visa?

Featured Replies

hi all ,

just a quick question on Phnom Penh , ( Because AirAsia have cheap flights now )

Australian passort - No entry Visa needed ( do i get a stamp at the airport on entry )

Is two days sufficient to submit & process for Tourist Visa. ?

Thanks again !

steven :o

You'll pay $20 for your Cambodian Visa at the airport in Phnom Penh.

The Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh are not good about issuing tourist visas to foreign nationals. There's no guarantee you'll even get one.

Tourist visas are usually issued on the day after you apply, so drop off the application in the morning, and pick it up the next afternoon.

Let us know how you go.

Completely wrong.

Visas are usually issued to everybody as long as

you have the basic requirements. No onwards ticket

or anything like that is needed.

It take TWO working days to complete.

Application hours is 8.30-11.00 and you pick it up two days

after at 15.00-16.30.

I don't understand the meaning of this forum as long as people

who don't really know what the are talking about are answering

questions here!!!!!

MisterFact, there are these two facts that you my wish to add to your collection of facts:

...Visa trip to Pnohm Penn... attatched note inside my passport...and i quote!

YOUR VISA IS NOT APPROVED

YOU HAVE LONG STAY IN THAILAND

SINCE AUG 2005 UNTIL 9 OCT 2006

WITH EXCEMPT VISA 15 TIMES WHICH IS NOT THE CORRECT WAY

THE PURPOSE OF EXCEMPT VISA IS FOR TOURISM ONLY(NOT FOR LONG STAY IN THAILAND)

...Applied for a 60 day visa in PP and got it, but, attached to my passport was a note saying, and I quote,

"Permitted to apply visa in Phnom Penh for only this time. Do not apply new visa in Phnom Penh again."...

These are old post but they are the ones to which I kept the links so that I may quote them to an interested person such as you; there have been other posts along the same line since then. I have not seen recent posts about applications for tourist visas in Phnom Penh, probably because people have not been going there for fear of being turned down. Of course, the situation can change at any time and if you are going there for a tourist visa please be so kind as to report your experience in this forum. Others will be grateful for your report.

Lopburi3 has shown that Phnom Penh has not been too forthcoming with the issue of tourist visas in the past.

My statement said just that. I didn't go as far as saying they won't issue one because situations can and do change.

I wouldn't personally go to the expense of travelling there to find out, but will be interested to read any recent reports from people who have tried.

Misterfact , are you saying it takes Two Days or Three Days to process ??

Do you drop the application off in the morning and collect your passport the next day in the afternoon ????

thanks.

Correction to my post 2 above.

I should have written "Maestro has shown", not "Lopburi3 has shown".

Sorry.
