Hospitals in thailand

Featured Replies

I like Kasemrad (Prachachuen) the most. Cost wise and service wise, it's the best hospital I've been too in Thailand. Went there when I got dangue fever.

That's all very true. It is indeed one of the most expensive hospitals in Thailand. I've never stayed there myself, so I can't say anything on the service.

What I mean was the card (social welfare) from Labour Department. normally almost all the company here doing like that. they will charged in your wages every month to pay this social welfare card. My hospital was Sikarin Hospital (soi la salle, Srinakarin Road).

I really don't know why they won't gave any priority to you if you are using that card.

Great info, thanks!

My experience: I had a hernia operation at Bangkok General. I went there because I was told well-to-do Thais go there as its the same care level as Bumrungrad Hospital  but lower prices. I cannot say enough about the care and service. First class all the way. They had a nurse waiting for me when I showed up at 7 a.m. to take me to prep. At 9 a.m. I was on the table and at 11 I was in my private room (2,000 baht perday) with ubc, balcony, nurse outside the door. My surgeon spoke better english than I do and came to see me two or three times for the two days I spent there. I had a small question about the bill and they adjusted it immediately. The particulars:

www.bangkokhospital.com (excellent english language site)

662-310-3000, emergency: 662-310-3456

Unfortunetly the website doesnt give the address, but its off of Petchburi Road opposite Thong Lor

If in Pattaya, I recommend Pattaya Memorial Hospital. I needed surgery on a hand wound, and tablets, stitches removal and injections, all performed by Thai Doctors all for less than £50 GBP. They didn't rip me off and they did a good job.

I had various experiences in Phuket Hospital (mostly for light diseases) and I don't like International Hospital, because I had a bad experience.

A few years ago I had a very bad ulcer attack in the morning(I thought I had perforation) and went to the emergency.

After a short visit they assumed (without telling me) that I had a hangover (I do not drink alcohol at all) and prescribed medicines.

Only when I was going away the doctor told me laughing "next time do not drink much").

In the afternoon I went to Mission Hospital and they gave me a much more careful visit, checked pancreas, stomach etc.. and stayed one night.

I paid more of course, but if someone goes to ER is for something serious!

Mission Hospital has a good reputation in Phuket for carefulness and has low prices. However if someone has to stay in hospital for a while they serve only vegetarian food!

For dental care I go to "Bangkok Hospital", which has a good dental clinic (at least for me).
