Helping Some Friends To Marry In Thaialnd

Featured Replies

HI Gulf coast peeps,

Some friends from Europe have expressed interest in marring in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan or Koh Tao. I will help with the paper work in Bangkok but I’m wondering about the local Government offices. Where are the Amphurs? Anyone speak any English in them?

Can anyone also recommend a good wedding planer?

Signed

Hellohello from the Andaman side.

I just met a wedding planner this morning. I'm sure he'll get wind of this thread soon.

I've PM'd you as well, but Samui amphur is in Nathon, next to the Police Station. Koh Phangan amphur is on the road to Chaloklum, just a couple of k outside Thong Sala. Koh Tao is not an amphur, it belongs to the Phangan Amphur.

Depends how much you want to spend, as anywhere.

When my daughter wanted to get married on a beach I chartered the dinner cruise ship that used to work out of Maenam and we cruised to the Anthong Marine Park where they got married on "The Beach" that the book was written about. We then had the reception on the boat and everyone present said what a fantastic day it was. My daughter said it was a dream and couldnt have been better. First and only time it has been done.

Anyway to answer your question about the official, they will travel whereever you want so long as it fits in with their timetable and you are willing to pay of course.
