A/c Installation?

Featured Replies

Can anyone give some guidelines as to how much you should expect to pay for A/C installation? Is it cheaper to get to more than one A/C installed at a time or is it a standard rate per unit installed? How long should take to do, what are the logistics?

TIA

The installation is usually included in the price.

If not - about 1500B - 2000B per standard household size unit.

Typically, if the unit is in stock at the store, same day installation is fairly normal.

If you have long distances b/w the condesor & evaporator units extra charges for materials etc. will apply.

Cheers,

Soundman.

Installation and delivery is usually free. Assuming they have the air con system in stock, delivery should be able to occur within a few days (maybe next day) and installation should only take 3-6 hours for a split air con system. It took about a day and half to install three split air con systems downstairs in our house. Now, if you need more than one air con system installed you would probably get a better deal by buying more than one at a time....and lord knows, prices for most things ain't going done year over year.

They 'free' installation usually is limited to about 5 m of power cable and about 3 m of coolant piping or something of that order. Not sure how much they charge for extras, but I was a mug and payed 500 baht for the plastic conduit cover to hide the pipes going to the side wall. Less than 1 metre of plastic probably worth about 50 baht (they got no tip however).
