Went to UK embassy today (Friday).

Arrived at 0500 and had 18 people ahead of us in the quewe.

Security came out at 0720 and said out aloud that there wasn't so many people here today. I counted about 45-50 people so get there early as only 75 allowed.

If your wife/girlfriend requires an interview for a tourist visa the sign said the 1st possible date was 21/10/04

For settlement visa 1st interviews are 21/11/04.

We found out at arrival that our supporting documentation from my dad had not arrived at the embassy. The lady told me to sit down for 5 mins as it might not be needed.

My wife came around the corner 5 mins later having been granted a visa, no problems, few questions and no financial back up from the UK!!

Courteous service, problem free. I was very suprised and of course we are very happy.
