Light Beer

I like to drink beer, but I don't really like getting too drunk and especially don't like the calories(means more gym time and less pies), so I drink light beer.

Whats your fav local light beer..i tried Singha Light last night for the first time and much prefer this over San Mig Light and Amstel Light.

Haven't tried Chang light yet. Any other light beers available in Thailand (Bud Light, Miller Light etc....) ?

San Mig Lite if you want the alcohol (5%) - Singha Lite if you don't (you said you don't like getting *too* drunk) which is what I drink at the "golf drive" when I want a cold one without losing what little golfing skill I have :o

Gone off all Chang products over the last couple of years - all seem very bland to me now

No lite beer packs much of a punch flavour wise - a few of my San Mig Lite drinking buddies chuck a lime into theirs Corona-style - they claim it helps (I stick to Beer Lao personally when in the pub)

Haven't seen any imported lite beer products in Thailand but I'm sure there must be some available...

Singha light is by far the best light beer in thailand, IMHO. What's the point? For someone who drinks too quick for their own good to avoid drunkeness as long as possible. It's cheap, too...half the alcohol for about half the price.

Oh, and I like the taste. Yeah, I'm sure I'll get flamed for that.

If I'm not drinking Singha Light, it's Leo all the way. I hate regular Singha and all Changs.

NguuMuu, People who "hate", are the biggest problem on planet Earth today.

Back on topic.

I find lite beer, without exception, to be bland and tasteless.

Alcohol is what brings out the exquisite taste of a good brew,

Less alky, less taste, no arguement.

Ya may as well drink water, you lite fans.

I drink regular CHANG whilst in LOS

Gosh you're obviously a real man, we're all suitably impressed.

Some of us enjoy hurling ale down our throats for many hours at a time, but unfortunately don't have too much tolerance for alcohol. Singha lite is 3.5% alcohol, O.K. but tastes a bit thin and fizzy after half a dozen. Chang lite is 4.2% and tastes fine to me but others aren't so keen. Leo I've only been on recently and have noticed it doesn't have me falling over or leave me with a raging hangover, don't know what the alc. % is but it tastes alright.

Leo Beer, Super Leo, and Super Lion should remain available in

supermarkets for some time. It's good for cleaning paintbrushes, don’t spill it

on varnished wood though, but if you can‘t get to sleep try a bottle of either

Chang or Leo, it should put you out!

PMPLMAO..........hehe

Comment from a beer site......

Leo is not too bad, often sunk some when wandering around, cheap too.

light beer does not have to have less alcohol, it has less carbohydrates.

Guess what you want less of, carbs or alky.

Neva really noticed a low carb beer.
