February 20, 200818 yr I wish to apply for Australian Citizenship by desent for my daughter who will be 3 years in april. Is it possible to apply for Australian passport at the same time, or do you have to wait the 3-5 days for citizenship, then apply for the passport. Regards NB.
February 20, 200818 yr As far as I'm aware of you can't do it at the same time.I was in the same situation as you and applied for a 'citizenship by descent' for my son (just take your passport and the baby's birth certificate and supply the name of the doctor). 10 working days later you will receive it and can then apply for a passport which also takes 10 working days. If you need the passport asap you can apply for a quickie passport but that will cost you a lot more. http://www.citizenship.gov.au/applying/cat...-by-descent.htm Best of luck.
