I am confused about how Dual Citizens (THAI/US) are required to travel to/from US and Thailand.

I have heard "rumors" that Thai Immigration is asking Thai looking travelers, if they present a US Passport, whether they have a Thai Passport and telling them that they must use it to enter Thailand.

Whne they return to US and show the US passport the US immigration raise a rukus because there is no record in the US Passport about being in Thailand.

What is the correct procedure?

Will either the Thai or US Immigration provide any help on how this travel should be done correctly?

Anyone have any info or Contacts?

From first hand reports here and from friends with dual citizens children, neither Thai or US immigration has ever questioned them. Enter and leave Thailand on Thai passport, Enter US with US passport (there is no US departure immigration). You will have to explain to the airline on check in why you don't need a visa to go the US and why you don't need a round trip ticket to go to Thailand as you don’t have a visa. This is done by showing both passports. You do not need to show both to immigration.
