Unless your wife is a Resident Alien getting a tourist visa will be difficult. Read threads:

It really depends a lot on your circumstances also...If you live and work in Thailand and have a work permit, it is easier...The key is showing that you have compelling reasons to return to Thailand and if you work here legally is not difficult. And getting everything documented is important...better to have too much documentation than not enought...

I took my wife and son back to the US several years ago for a 1 month vacation...I had a Thai work permit and had been with the same company for 3 years...My wife got a 10 year multiple reentry visa..It took about 30 days...
