DON’T JUST WATCH THE VID BUY IT ONLINE

This didn't get the publicity it deserved when it was released..... it is without doubt the best Justice song out there and deserves a bit of a boost from us.

Lyrics of Justice For The 96

The clock is tick, tick, ticking on the wall,

It’s counting out the days until we fall,

Those men with hearts of stone and souls of ice,

Are trying to make us close our eyes tonight, yeah

(Chorus)

The tears are frozen in the people’s eyes,

A thousand rivers could run dry,

And time our enemy wounding with its days,

What I’m looking for is,

Something I can’t find no more,

Some justice here today,

Hear what I say now.

The sun’s not shining on the 4th estate,

While editors spread vicious lies of hate,

96 lost souls deaf, blind and mute,

While McKenzie’s in his counting house,

Counting all his loot,

(Chorus)

Justice for the 96,

Justice for the 96,

Lord won’t you help us in our fight for justice,

Lord won’t you give us our rightful justice.

The clock is tick, tick, ticking on the wall,

Theres a 3 of us on a libpool forum that are trying to get this song recognised. It only costs a few beers (In Baht) to buy the song so for anyone that does, then in advance you have our thanks.

All the funds raised by the sale of this song will go to the Hillsborough Justice Campaign.

It would be a fantastic acheivement if we could get this song into the charts, even if it wasnt top 40. All publicity, is good publicity for the campaign.

I know some fans have have different views about what actually happened that day, but the reality is that 96 football fans went to game and never came home. Sons, Daughters, Fathers and Brothers. In some cases all combined together.

The disaster of 1989 was not the first time serious crushing had occurred at this stadium.

In 1981, Wolves played Spurs in the semi final at Hillsborough. Wolves fans were allocated the enormous kop stand while Spurs, despite having the bigger following were allocated the much smaller leppings lane terrace. The result was a massive overcrowding and crush. Police allowed affected supporters out of the enclosure. 38 supporters were injured. The Football Association were so concerned they moved the FA Cup Semi final matches away from the ground for six years until 1987.

This prompted swfc to alter the design of the terrace, dividing it into 5 pens, despite this, there is evidence of crushing in 1987, 88 and with fatal consequences in 1989.

In both the 88 and 89 semi final liverpool challenged the decision to allocate the smaller terrace section to their supporters. The first objection in 88 was due to the size of the allocation the 2nd objection was due to the complaints of crushing fans had experienced in 1988. The police refused to switch ends.It really could have been anyone that day.

Its actually a very good tune as well :D

Thanks Lads :o
