Hi

I'm applying for a UK passport for my son. My son was born in the UK, his mum is Thai - I'm from the UK. Do I need to have a translated copy of our marriage certificate? We don't have one - so other question would be where does one get such a thing?

We must have had one to get my wife's uk visa, but it's been lost to the mists of time!

Thanks for any info!

If your son was born after 1 July 2006 you won't need your marriage certificate. It will be sufficient for you to be named on his birth certificate as the father and for you to be British.

Scouse.
