Not A Hitch!

Featured Replies

Just got back from WP Office and Immigration. Got a 1 year extension from both without a hitch. Not a word was mentioned about TL, culture test or any such shit. A breeze.

Be prepared: have 2 sets of photocopies of EVERY used page of your WP & passport. One set for Labor, one for Immigration. Sign EVERY photocopy BEFORE you go (you want to be in & out quickly). Bring a Thai person with you - someone from your school - let he/she handle your paperwork and deal with the the officials. You just stay quietly in the background and sign whatever they ask you to. It took us 15 mins at Labor, 25 mins at Immigration and finally another 10 minutes at labor.

We were finished before lunch - all signed, sealed and legal for another year in LOS. The crazy thing was the complete absence of so much as a word about a TL or related matters. Not a peep. Nobody even talked to us (they're were two of us teachers getting extensions). The Thais (ours/theirs) did all the talking (and laughing!). Piece of cake!

Congratulations.

In what province was that? Working for a govt. school, private, language center, or uni?
