Greetings,

I have the I-129F and G-325A forms from USCIS.

With the G-325A, I can type information into the fields of the form using Adobe Acrobat. I can not do that with the I-129F unfortunately.

Does anyone have a current I-129F that allows data entry?

This is odd. Before I submitted my I-129F, I noticed there was a new one on the USCIS compared to the one I downloaded months ago. They both expire on 11/30/04, so I decided to send the old one anyhow. But the newer one does not appear to have fillable fields. Stupid government.

I have to go to work now, but if you want a copy of the old one, inbox me your email address. I'll send it to you this evening.

I was able to find OMB 1115-0071 (Rev. 11/20/01) that can be filled out electronically and is still good until 11/30/04.

The latest form seems to be OMB1615-001 (Rev. 04/16/04).

It looks like the idea behind the later form is to use boxes to contain the written information rather than lines. If all the information required is the same, then I'll just go ahead and use the older form. Should be better to have typing on the old form than my handwriting on the new.

The main reason I wanted an electronic version is entry of the Thai letters - better to use Thai unicode than my handwriting. :o Hopefully they will print OK. [ This has to do with entering fiancees name and address in Thai. ]

So, daveh, if I have the same forms already - I'm all set - Thanks,

The girlfriend is really unsure she can handle her end of the paperwork, especially in dealing with the package that comes from the embassy in BKK. I might start another thread, but I'm looking for recommendations on an agency that can hold her hand on this. I'm full-time employed and can't be there except to go with her when she has her interview.

Unfortunately, I could not enter Thai characters into the PDF. Let me know if you get that to work. Basically, I set my language bar on my WinXP machine to Thai, and tried to type in the information, but it did not work. I ended up creating a "Continuation page" for just about every form. This was mostly because Thai addresses don't match the form. The continuation page, I created with Word, so there was no problem with typing Thai.

As you plan to do, I filled out the forms for my GF and emailed them to her. But you should know that she will probably have print them on "Letter" sized paper. I gave my GF a ream of letter sized, so all documents I send her, she prints on the paper I gave her. Technically, they are supposed to accept A4 paper, but you never know.
