Vaf1 Questions

Featured Replies

I’m trying to complete part of the VAF1 form for my g/f vv. can anyone advise me which box to tick in section 1 after ticking the 6 month box. Should it be “other- please specify” stating simply “holiday”??

In section 6 it reads at No. 6.10 “how much money is available to you for your stay”

What the ###### is one supposed to put there?

Any sensible answers would be appreciated!

Thanks

Phil

Phil, I assume the first thing is reason for visit, if so, tick visitor and 6 months, ignore the rest.

How much money??? Well put a realistic figure, How much would a tourist spend in the UK, 10000 Baht a week? I put down 30,000 for 10 days but bare in mind you need to prove the cash is available!

If you are her sponser then they will want bank statements to prove you have enough money to support her and I assume you are paying for the trip (6.11) If so they may want proof that you can afford it, rule of thumb - give the embassy more than they need.

Good luck with the application.

PHIL my girlfriend was asked at Gatwick airport how much money she was carrying on her as part of the immigration questions. She needs to at least know a figure to say, no one asked to see the money just how much she had.

This was for the vv
