Actually some of the best things in Bangkok won't cost you that much, just having a bowl of noodles on the sidewalk is an experience in itself. It's all to do with you and maybe your companion(s).

But if you ask....

Best food:

Too many to mention here (and too lazy)

Best hotel(s):

I like the Conrad and Sukolthai, places with western/eastern fusion

Best clubs:

Hip Hop/Dance=Silom soi 4-take ur pick

Wild dance meets glam=Silom soi 2-itz gotta be DJ Station

Chill out Jazz=Living Room @ The Sheraton

Club/House=Q Bar

others:

- Walking in Lumpinee Park

- Gallery hopping around Pra athit Rd.

- Temples around town

- Chinatown

Just a few to mention......

The only hotels I could think tyo add to thaose already mentioned are the Plaza Athenee just down the road from The Conrad on Wireless Road and the Hyatt Erawan and 4 Seasons ( ? Ex Regent I believe) on Rajadamri.

As for food The New York Steakhouse won Metro Magazines recent Best Restaurant in Bangkok award.

Though I would not suggest coming to Thailand to eat a steak dinner.

Food and restaurants are both plentiful and cheap but if you are looking to spend just a little more than normal I would suggest Ban Khannika (Sukhumvit soi 23 and soi Ruam Rudee)

The Seafood Market on Sukhumvit Soi 24/26?
