Immigration Hua Hin (prachuap Khiri Khan)

Featured Replies

Yesterday afternoon me and my friend went to the Immigration office in Hua Hin for my friend's visa extension. Myself have to do this on the 29th April 2008. We came to the office with all the necessary paperwork including a teaching permission of the Phetchaburi Service Area of the Ministry of Education.

Hua Hin immigration office wants to see the Teacher License from the Teacher's Council of Thailand. The teaching permission given by our Service Area isn't valid for them. If you don't have one, they won't give you an extension. Upon asking they showed us a letter from the Prachuab Khiri Khan Service Area of the Ministry of Education which gives an explanation about the rules.

Recently several members on this board and the other one wrote that they acquired a visa extension without having the TCT teacher license. For sure, that wasn't at the Hua Hin Immigration office. I will go to another Immigration office for my visa extension because currently I don't hold a TCT teacher license.

This is just a warning for our members about Singkon (Hua Hin) Immigration Office. It's reported that there are similar problems at Songkla Immigration.

Below you find a scan of the document they want.

Gosh, Petch, this is very interesting. You don't suppose that my good buddy Stamp will be along in a moment to comment on this, even though he has nothing to do with the TCT, do you? It would be ironic if *he* were the one who put up exactly the same post on another teaching forum, wouldn't it? Gosh, isn't it hard to find good English-speaking help these days?

What's wrong with a head's up involving something that could seriously affect a teacher in that area who doesn't have the TCT TL?

Why, nothing, if it's genuinely true and given in the spirit of helping.

Of course, if a certain poster were actually the same poster (on account of having posted the same message and photo on two different boards) and that poster was the same as Stamp here, then I would have to remind everyone what a completely unreliable pro-TCT propaganda tool he was, and that the (mis)information he posts might need to be taken with a big grain of salt, and certainly need to be verified before people get all hot and bothered about it. I'll certainly be looking into it.
