Bike Bags

Featured Replies

OK to stop me just bungeeing a small rucksack on the back.. I am gonna want some saddle bags, ideally something generic so can be thrown over whatever the ride will be (road bikes almost def). Although I can see the advantages I dont want to go hardboxes and mounting kits.

Any good sources in Thailand ??

Looking for something like

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/7...-Saddlebag.aspx

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/7...r-Tail-Bag.aspx

But open to all suggestions.. Wants to be cheap (thats me all over :o )..

Thinking items like this may be better to just mail order it ?? I mean both the above for a full set comes to 200 USD.

Please not forget import taxes, try to source this saddlebag in Australia (preferable made in Aus) as the import duty on Australian made automotive accessories are much lower.

Chatuchak market has a shop that sells saddlebags in leather or thick vinyl at low prices. You can bargain too. Quality is not the best but adequate. They promise to take the bags back if they don't fit, but take your ideal measurements with you as you always want to avoid testing a Thai promise.

US based and I probably can have them brought out for me..

Givi has good selection and good quality. www.givi.com.my

Got my tank back from singapore and price was not that bad. Now considering buying one of those combined bags that can be used as tank bag or tailbag....

If you are US based then have a look at Tour Master. Mrs H2O brought me some Tour Master pannier bags when she was last in the USA which attach under your seat, are adjustable to fit most bikes and the bags once fitted under the seat zip on and off so if you are not going anywhere you dont need to have them on, Really nice bags in awaterproof goretex material. Much better tha the plastic/ leather bags ive bought here. I also got a Givi tank bag sent over from the UK and this combination was ample for me and Mrs H2O to go away for a week no problem. Another good source is go to oneof thebike shows that go on around the country. There are some good stalls selling decent travel gear and clothes. Good hunting :o

Maybe I wasnt very clear. MY WIFE BROUGHT ME THE LUGGAGE FROM THE USA WHEN SHE WAS LAST THERE. I think that means that the luggage is US based :o
