Visa To India

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how long it takes to get a tourist visa for India, what is the cost and what documents are required. I am a UK citizen

JB

You Submit your Completed Application Form & Passport

Plus - a fee & the cost of a Telex to London in the Morning.

Your passport is returned to you with a Receipt.

This takes 5 mins once you reach the Window.

If you are asked for the Fee - it implies you will be given a Visa subject to

there being no adverse Police Report in UK.

They then send a Telex to London to check that you do not have any

adverse Police Report.

You are told to come back in four days, again only in the morning.

You submit your Passport & receipt at the middle window

(in Bangkok) and wait 30 mins to one hour (depending on the

Number of applicants that day) while they find & affix the Visa Sticker

in your Passport.

The Fees vary according to Nationality

I think for UK Citizens its about Bht 2,000

Very Straight forward - no documents - no questions

You can send somebody ...

Done it personally many times.

The Visa is Valid for Entry AND STAY

for six months from the date of Issue.

Single, Double & Multiple Entry are available upon request.
