Uk Visa Fee

Can any one tell me how to make a payment to the UK embassy for a settlement visa, what currency and at what stage of the application?

Hi Slippers,

The fee for a settlement visa is £260.00 payable in local currency. The embassy sets their own exchange rate which is currently 80baht to the £, so 20800 baht. Ideally this should be paid in cash at the time the application is lodged. They may accept a cheque drawn on a Thai bank. Perhaps give the visa section a ring to clarify this.

If you submit your application by post, I believe the Embassy will accept a postal order made out to the "British Embassy" drawable at "Nana Post Office".
