Exercise Vibration Platforms

Featured Replies

For many years now, when passing through shopping centres, i've seen these exercise vibration platforms, usually being sold along with massage chairs and other exercise machines.

Up until now i've found them quite amusing contraptions. To think that there are people who are stupid enough and lazy enough to really think that they can get fit by standing still doing nothing amazed me. There was also the juvenille schoolboy in me that couldn't help finding some titilation in the thought of all these middle-aged housewives buying these machines on the pretense of wanting to get slim, but having some other reasons in mind... :o

Anyway, i'm not sure why, i think for a laugh more than anything, i stood on one the other day, and i have to say i was quite surprised. I could feel the loose parts of my body (stomach and arse mainly)getting shaken to bits, and it really did feel like they were getting some sort of a work-out.

Well, I'm not sure if i'm stupid enough to buy one, but i'm certainly lazy enough, so i'm just wondering how much of a waste and a rip-off they really are. I'm guessing it's the kind of thing people buy, use for a few days, and then tuck away in a cupboard to gather dust.

Does anyone have one and if so, what are your thoughts?

Dont have one, but....

In my words, those machines are ill-promised gimmicks which requires an ill-informed and a generally lazy person to pay close to 20,000 baht for a promise of an easy road to beauty without doing any work. lol. I'd rather use that 20,000 baht to hire a personal trainer at Fitness First that lasts 2-3 months and defitenly get better results and the satisfaction.

the way I see it.... if you can not even sweat hardship to gain something in return, you can never be satisfied and happy in life.

that vibrator machine or what cha call it may actually work, but will it improve your character as a whole?
