Sole Custody Of Own Child

Featured Replies

I have done a search on custody - but can only find posts from foreigners who want to adopt Thai children from their wife's former husband.

I have a daugther with a Thai woman. She (the wife i.e) wants to go to S. Korea to work (in some factory). I do not want my child to be left (in the Isaan jungle) with my wife's parents. My wife - as for now - is conscenting.

My daughter already has a European passport, and I know I can just leave with her. But I want to do it in a more formal way.

I need advice on the procedure and the offices involved. Also - should I divorce her (the wife again) in the same process?

PS We are still friends and I am willing to support her family with money to cover water, electricity and food for the 4 years before their rubber plantantionswill give them money.

Thanks for any advise.

go to the local court with your wife & ask for a formal custody document, hire a lawyer to do this for you, it would be small money for a hassle free resolution. To divorce your wife you can take both your original wedding certs to an amphur & ask for a divorce. should be straight forward if you are both in agreement.
