Hi guys, sorry for being a naive in these matters, but my Thai wife is currently on settlement visa in the UK, whilst on a settlement visa is she free to travel to and from TL and how long can she stay in TL in any one go?

Now another matter, which im not sure is about how do we go about buying a house in TL? Can my wife still buy in her name even tho, she is on a settlement visa? I know i cannot buy any land in TL, but can she still buy even tho she has left her country?

When my wife eventually gets citizenship, would she become a dual national? IE will she still have Thai citizenship as well?

Thanks in advance

Free to travel OK, the settlement issue is another matter, if she spends too long out of the country, the Entry Officers may well deem that she does not intend to settle and refuse entry. I am not sure of any actual limitations on overall time periods.

Just to clarify the first point, as long as your circumstances remain the same, or at least don't change for the worse, your wife is free to come and go from the UK within the validity of her visa. The only issue that might arise is if she spends an aggregate of, let's say, more than a year outside of the country, when at the ILR stage, the UKBA might challenge her claim to be settled in the UK.

Scouse.
