Englishman Living With Thai Wife And Child In Spain How Do I Get My Wife A Spanish Passport?

Featured Replies

I am English and my Thai wife and I moved to Spain with our child, my wife now has a residents permit this is valid for five years. Now the question is could my wife get a Spanish passport? Would I also have to apply for a Spanish passport? Must she live in Spain for five years first? :o

It appears to be even longer. A cursory google search indicates that she will have to have been in Spain for 10 years:-

Thanks Scouser, but do you think it would be OK for us to visit family back in Thailand for short holliday without the need for my wife to get another visa for Spain?

Graham

Providing that you are in Spain at the same time as your wife, she can come and go as often as she likes within the validity of her 5-year residence card.
