First question, do you believe that the way your building, flat, furnitures are arranged, ... affect your life ?

But more interesting, how is it to leave in a mixte couple, one believe, the other doesn't ?

For the non-believer, how do you take the advise from the "master", especially when your bf/gf strongly support it but you think it's just a @#$% of crap ?

If you don't mind how it is arranged, then let her have at it. Doesn't mean you have to believe in it. I certainly don't. The person is a "master"?? Master of what? You believe in this, also believe in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus & the Easter Bunny. Hopefully, this is or will not become a major issue in your relationship. One of my darlings believes in this & I just let her do her own thing, but it has never gotten carried to far.

I was once given a book on the subject of 'Fung Shui Gardening'.... But I never followed its advice.

I much prefer regular Horse Sh1t as a means to improve a garden.

The wife and I aren’t believers but…..

We had an elderly Chinese lady visit our business one day and casually make some Feng Shui suggestions on the placement of sales counters and display stands.

We followed her suggestions and business did improve.

Whether it was just good business sense or Feng Shui, I’ll leave that up to you.

More hocus pocus along with crystals etc and most alternative health as well as all religions

Feng Shui Master - I always giggle when I see the adverts on the back of busses and the like of some knob posing

The building I am in either has brilliant feng shui or really bad depending on who you talk to - hocus pocus

well, Donald Trump (f.E.) had some serious corrections to his Hotel - Condominium Building done, according to the findings of a Feng Shui Master...

Many, many people follow the advice and instructions, many buildings in China are build considering Feng Shui planning, why not?

It's somewhat a extension of basic interior/exterior design.

If it doesn't help, it certainly doesn't hurt!

I rented a luxury furnished condo from a Chinese/Thai who proudly announced that the furniture had been arranged by a Feng Shue expert, even having some kind of plaque over the front door. The sofa was back-to-the-picture-window and when seated, one looked directly at a blank wall instead of a stunning view of Bangkok. We immediately set about rearranging the furniture.

Result: no thunderbolts, lost money, bad luck in general, ill health.............that was several years ago.

No effect at all, other than my net worth fattening up a bit when I am able to buy a property that others feel is a "negative" energy/bad luck/non auspicious, or whatever property.

Now I am an alternative believer (astrology, hoemopathy etc) BUT Feng Shui to me has no basis. I have always thought there was definintely something in the flow of energy around a place, and some houses just feel great whilst others feel fractured and awkward.

I actually paid for a Feng Shui "Master" to come to my home and Feng Shui it. I asked him on the background of it and he explained something about a monk finding a turtle and on the bottom of the turtle was a grid with a variety of numbers which co-ordinated to points when using a compass. Thats pretty much when I switched off - at least astrology is based on the math of the planetary movements and homeopathy on quantum science.

I still maintain however that there is something in the energy flow - its just I cant see how a turtle was the messenger to tell us how all this works? :o

Out of interest. How much did you pay the Feng Shui 'master' ?

I don't believe in anything to do with feng shui or anything 'alternative' but I'm not being judgemental, each to his own.

Better put your tin hat on though as I think there may be a few posts headed your way.........

By the way, I hope the daughters bed is facing the right direction.....

Well it does affect the energy flow within ones house and life. It really depends if you believe or not.

Please watch from start to finish.
