June 24, 200817 yr Hi! I am of Thai citizenship, but I've been living in Norway for 20 years with a permanent visa. I went to the Thai embassy here in Norway about 3 weeks ago to renew it, but it's taking longer than expected. I've already ordered a ticket and the depature date is next week. Is it possible to get an emergency passport from the Thai embassy? And if it does, are there going to be any problems at the passport control when I come back to Norway? Since I have a Thai citizenship I can't get an emergency passport from Norway. Thanks!
June 24, 200817 yr If i was you i woul dget on th ephone and explain this to them..i very very much doubt they will issue a emergency passport as they are for people who have lost theirs and need to get home in a hurry, the fact that you are in the country of your residence and not in a emergency apart from to go to thailand means it will be the big no no for you... Just phone them and explain they might be sympathetic and hurry it for you.. Is it cold in Norway?
