I mean this as a light-hearted post by the way. Play the monkey?? About ten days ago, I had to go through this. Sit next to the assistant director (in the shadow) for about 30 minutes, before being whisked to a chair to receive from a student one of these plant things, and hold on for a sec onto it, before passing it to another student behind me.
